About

Many paths up the mountain.
One team to the summit.

Every finance organisation I lead faces the same challenge: multiple urgent paths demanding attention at once — refinancing, integration, transformation — and a team that needs to navigate all of them together. My job is to read the terrain, choose the line, and guide the team to the summit.

My career spans from the hospitality floors of Mövenpick and the Swissair Group, through the IPO of Canada Goose on the NYSE and TSX, to building finance functions from zero in venture-backed startups and leading CHF 300M debt refinancings in PE-backed infrastructure groups.

Before any of that, I was a professional ski athlete on the US and Japan Pro Tours. That chapter taught me something I carry into every boardroom: the discipline to prepare meticulously, the composure to perform under pressure, and the judgment to choose the right line when conditions change.

Today, alongside my executive career, I serve on the boards of a FINMA-regulated bank and two PE-backed ski brands — combining financial governance with the outdoor world that has shaped my identity since childhood.

Life in the Mountains

The mountains aren't a backdrop.
They're where it started.

Long before the boardrooms and balance sheets, there were mountains. My career began on snow — racing professionally on the US and Japan Pro Tours in the early 1990s. That chapter ended, but the mountains never left. They shaped how I lead, how I think, and how I live.

Professional Ski Athlete
Competed on the US Pro Tour and Japan Pro Tour (1992–1994) in Alpine skiing. The discipline of professional sport — preparation, composure under pressure, reading conditions in real time — became the foundation for everything that followed in business.
🏔
Licensed Swiss Ski Instructor
Qualified through the Swiss Snowsports Association in 1991. Teaching skiing is teaching people to trust themselves in unfamiliar terrain — the same skill that matters when leading a finance team through a complex transformation.
🎿
Skiclub Schwyz — U16 Coach
Giving back to the next generation of Swiss ski racers as a volunteer coach. Working with young athletes is a reminder that development takes patience, repetition, and showing up — principles that apply as much to building finance teams as to carving turns.
🚴
Cycling the Swiss Alps
When the snow melts, the road bike comes out. Riding the passes of Central Switzerland — Gotthard, Furka, Grimsel — is how I clear my head and stay sharp. The mountains demand the same thing whether you're on skis or on two wheels: respect the gradient, manage your energy, keep moving forward.

Home Base

Living in Küssnacht am Rigi on Lake Lucerne, I'm surrounded by the mountains that have defined my life — from Rigi and Pilatus to the peaks of Central Switzerland. The outdoor world isn't something I visit on weekends. It's where I live, how I think, and why I sit on the boards of Capranea Sports and DAHU Sports. The connection between the mountains and the boardroom isn't a metaphor. It's a through-line.

Let's connect.

I'm exploring my next chapter — whether that's a CFO role in a PE-backed transformation environment, a board position, or a conversation about where operational finance leadership creates the most value.
